For you...

These are excerpts of a story in a poem,

You made my world a smile,
You made my world a sorrow,
You spun around me your words,
and you weaved stitches of love into my skin

You brightened my world
You darkened my world
You showed me your world
and you let us hop in-between

My mind weeps at your absence
while my heart aches for your presence

My hearing misses your voice
while my lips miss yours

My hands are empty without yours
while my body shivers without you near by

---------------------------

I was harsh
I was mean
I was demanding
I was too many things wrong
I'm sorry for all

I had love laid out for you
but
you chose words
and
I failed to let you feel it

You whispered " I love you "
You spoke the words " I love you "
You shouted, screamed, and yelled " I love you "
and yet I was angry...

Now I'm sorry

I sit in the middle
waiting, watching, wishing, thinking
perhaps a phone will ring
perhaps a knock on the door
perhaps a face to see in the window
perhaps a message

But nothing happens

Is it too late
us
Is it for real
the I hate you, you last said

Can we not start over
forget and for go the past
lay that to rest
with all thats wrong that we had and make a change

A change to the better
A change to understanding
A change to form us
instead of me, instead of you.
Just a you & me

Said I'm sorry
Said I forgive you
but I forgot to say
that I love you too

Missing you

Empires of Faith

Well, to think that they teach you much in History, it's certainly not enough. Over the passed week, I've bumped into this documentary called " The Empires of Faith " that was one of the most fascinating programs that I've ever seen. It covered Islam's history, and the history of the Middle-East. For approximately 3 hours, I was sitting there mesmerized in the film, watching the time line and history unraveling. The fall of the Islamic estate was due to the Mongols, they burned the libraries of Baghdad, and destroyed too much. Though them converting into the religion, and well, trying to build something again, didn't quite return the entity to it's stature. The film is long, it covered quite a few eras, and was quite interesting.

Khalidah
posted something on this topic just a few days ago, Who controlled the Middle East - if you've found that interesting, then have a look for the film.

Evenings....

At a coffee place near you, Saturday evening, 4 friends meet up....

y: long time, long-long time, can't remember
z: let's go for it....
x: khalas then, Nai on Tuesday for Sushi....
All: We're in, - great
x: hey, so, will you be drinking now that Ramadan is to end tomorrow
z: well, why not, tomorrow is the last day, then we'll have a few proper drinks...
x: Anything Vodka related...
z: definitely...screwdrivers....

At Living Room yesterday evening, 6 friends meetup... for Sushi and great laughs...- Sushi there has improved, not yet as good as Venegrette, but certainly better than last January. Loving sushi! (photo is from Rome, couldn't snap a photo amidst the outing!)

Lastest male blonde joke,

Three guys meetup, black haired, brown haired, and blonde guy. All three married to Blonde women!

1st guy says: You won't believe how stupid my wife is, she bought 3,000 dollars worth of meat from the butchers, and we don't have any freezers for them!
(hehehehee)
2nd guys says: That's nothing, you won't believe how stupid my wife is, she bought a 45,000 dollars car, when she can't even drive and has it parked in the garage!
(hahahahaha)
3rd guy laughs his head off, - guys you call those wives stupid, - heh, - then, you won't believe how STUPID my wife is....- she's off to a vacation with her girlfriends, and she buys herself 30 packs of condoms to take with her, when she doesn't even have a penis!

LOL - (ouch!) :)

MBPros - new and improved....

Very very nice machines have just been released....

MBPros come now with Core 2 duo 2.16Ghz / 2.33Ghz, - and Apple did a smart move to finally add the FW800 port on the 15.4" model, and get their DVD burners to do DL as well. With upto 200GB HDDs....more info on these new machines here - The new MACBook PRO ! 17" machines are just too big to lug around, a 15" is a much smarter move.... though, still premature for the investment @ 2,499USD for the higher end 15". I say hold your horses if you don't need one badly replacing an old-machine. By summer of 2007, you'd be picking one up with an 802.11n WiFi card as opposed to the current norm of 802.11g!! That's besides the usual Intel CPU upgrade, and perhaps a larger hard-drive....- patience!

Nothing else has been updated yet besides their MacBook Pro models, both 15.4" and 17" machines has just seen upgrades....Good on Apple!!!

Kul 3am winto bekhair

Eid Mubarak - Happy Eid to all....

Wishing you all a very very happy time during this holiday....- enjoy - leave Amman, and see the outskirts for a good drive, - it's great weather...

Chasing cars, by Snow Patrol

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Have said too much
But not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life...
